P0577 Cruise Control Input Circuit High

The P0577 diagnostic trouble code indicates that the vehicle's control module has detected an electrical signal that is higher than expected in the cruise-control input circuit.

This circuit is used to receive information from the cruise-control controls. Depending on the vehicle, it may be connected directly to a cruise-control switch, a multifunction switch on the steering wheel, a resistor-based switch network, or a steering-wheel control module.
