Atiker Launches a Social Responsibility Project

Ömer Atiker Holding A.Þ. has added another project to its ongoing social responsibility initiatives. A blood donation campaign organized in cooperation with the Turkish Red Crescent and Ömer Atiker Holding A.Þ. achieved a new record.

The blood donation campaign provided significant support to the Turkish Red Crescent's “National Safe Blood Supply” program. Ömer Atiker Holding, which regularly supports the Turkish Red Crescent's humanitarian activities, once again demonstrated that donating blood and saving lives is an important civic responsibility, especially during times when unity and solidarity are needed most.

Following the blood donation campaign held on July 24, 2018, Dr. Kaya Levent, Director of the Turkish Red Crescent Konya Blood Donation Center, stated that blood is not an emergency need but a constant necessity. He explained that blood cannot be manufactured in factories and that the blood needed by hospitals can only be supplied through the awareness and generosity of the public.

Dr. Levent also expressed his appreciation for the campaign organized by Ömer Atiker Holding under the slogan “1 Blood, 3 Lives”, saying that he thanked all employees and members of management on behalf of the lives that were saved through this valuable initiative.

Mr. Mehmet Ali Atiker also thanked everyone who participated in the campaign and supported the organization.

He stated that he was grateful for the sensitivity and support shown by all participants in the first organization of its kind and added that Ömer Atiker Holding would continue supporting the Turkish Red Crescent's activities throughout the country.

He also said that the company planned to make blood donation a regular tradition by organizing similar campaigns at certain intervals.
